~Dawn Whidden~

I just love this authors work. One of the best new authors out there twisting a story that you can never 'get' until the end. Love her. She can't write fast enough for me.

A Child is Torn: Innocence LostA Child is Torn: Innocence Lost by Dawn Kopman Whidden
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Its been a while since I've read such a gripping story as this. I read a lot of books as a reviewer and when this one was suggested by on online friend of mine who reads a lot of thrillers I was kind of reluctant due to the book cover. Then I read the blurb. It intrigued me and the author gave me this to read an review.

I was only 1/4 of the way through when I recognised that this author has real talent. She has also written about a subject matter that kept my attention throughout.

Its not just about Brad the little boy whose parents were murdered, by him? or by someone else? you will have to read that to find out.
Its about all the different people involved, the Grandparents on both sides, the police, the school teacher, neighbour...oh endless and how interesting it all became. Yes its about Brad, then there is the leading Investigator and the Child doctor who works with troubled kids. So much in this book to keep you turning the pages.

I cannot rave about this author enough, she certainly took an unusual slant on something so misunderstood I'm in awe of her writing ability.

I've truly found another author that actually weaves a different story than the norm that is so fashionable at the moment. This book has certainly stood out in the crowd of my 134 books I've read this year.
I didn't know how this author was going to conclude this, but she did, and very cleverly. If I could have stood up at the end giving her applause, I would still be standing now shouting Encore Encore!
I now have Faceless. Which I will be reading very soon.

Faceless: A MysteryFaceless: A Mystery by Dawn Kopman Whidden
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I was gifted this book by the author in exchange for an honest review.

After reading her first book and being totally blown away by it, I was looking forward to reading this one.
Dawn has a lovely style of writing and I enjoy every single word.

FACELESS is in no doubt a cleverly woven thriller. I was certain I knew ` who was responsible` and highly disappointed that the author had the upper hand AGAIN! She got me on her first book, she's done it again in this one.

Juggling a job as well as a family brings endless of rewards and problems. This Female Detective is no different especially when her daughter knows things too.

I found this a refreshing change to read. This author has great story telling skills.

Her ability and personality reaches out from the pages of this book. I have got to `know` the author because of the group a friend and I run for authors on Facebook, but this doesn't reflect in my review. If anyone knows me, they also know I am honest.

The only critisim I would have is, I don't like the cover, it doesn't portray the inside story well. That may be down to her editor? I'm not sure. But that is only MHO.

Brilliant! Remarkable. Would I recommend it? Definitely!

I WANT TO LEAVE ANYONE WHO IS READING THIS WITHOUT ANY DOUBT, I LOVED THIS BOOK SO MUCH I CAN'T WAIT FOR ANOTHER BOOK FROM THIS AUTHOR

STOLEN by Dawn Kopman Whidden

STOLENSTOLEN by Dawn Kopman Whidden
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I just love this authors books. When I read her very first book, I was hooked and it went into my top 10 thrillers of last year [and I reads loads as a reviewer!]

Reading her second one, we met some of the characters from her first book.

STOLEN is intense, this author is an author you really should look out for as she really can relate a tale. It keeps your attention, you want to just sit and read it from cover to cover and do nothing else until you have finished it. I know I stayed up very late to finish this book.

I love the cover, it depicts the story inside very well.

I love a good mystery/thriller.

Although all of Dawn Kopman Whidden books are not a series, you will find her main character popping up in each, but you do not have to read them in order.

I adored it. This is another ebook that I will definitely be buying in paperback to keep.

Thanks to the author for allowing me to beta read this before the final version.
